I personally love my duratracs. more aggressive look then the BFG's and snowflake rated were a win for me.

What size? BFG All Terrains are also severe snow rated with snowflake except a couple sizes. I dislike Goodyear and love Michelin including BF Goodrich and I have ran All Terrains on almost every vehicle I have had. Duratracs look nice but they are still Goodyear and that scares me.

Duratracs are the best all around tire from highway to off road I've ever seen. I love mine but they are spendy.

Also looking for some wheels as well, I don't mind spending $1500 on tires but I will not on wheels. My stocks are fine but if I could find someone wanton to change and had a good deal. I do like the looks of the stocks on the 3rd Gen. Looks like more positive for the Duratracs than negative

I bought my first set of Goodyear's as I had to pretty much for my wife's Journey and I am disappointed like always with them. I don't get how a company that makes such a poor tire charges so much and gets it. Never again.

BFG will out wear and out ride those and that is why I choose them. I also had flats all the time on any Goodyear I have owned. Pick what you like maybe the Duratrac is their lone good tire and I am missing out.

I have never had either of them. Trying to get some real world reviews of them, I'm glad everyone is responding and giving me great info. Going to order on Thursday so I have a few more days to gather info. Does anyone reccomend another brand?

All Terrains are not rated for severe snow in this size so if you do indeed do this know that or maybe avoid them if you will be in snow.

We don't have big snow here in Ky and I only drive the truck maybe 4 times a month. The only reason I want an At tire is because I pull 5th wheel camper with it and some of the places we go and pull the camper to is sometimes in a rough spot to get too.

I'm not one to spend the big bucks on tires to pay for advertising and racer sponsorship.

So I'd suggest General Grabber AT-2s...not the ones with red letters but thier everyday AT. Good traction, (I've run them) and decent wear based on your driving habits.

I guess I mention this but I'm not sure of 17 inch availibilty.

I'd offer to buy your off road rims but just don't have the cash. They'll go fast if you sell them at a fair price.

The rims are not perfect, it would be hard I think to sell them for enough to offset the coast of a new set. I'm going to look at the tires you suggested, the Goodyears and the BFG's were both about $1200 shipped to my door. Thanks to everyone for being so much help, I do greatly appreciate it.

35/12.50/17 is all they offer in the AT2's and I don't think I can get bye with those.

General grabbers are some sweet tires also. But they pay big money in the off road racing advertising market.

Probably comparable to what Goodyear spends based on their income.

Another option is check out TreadWright.com may be a great way to get some less expensive tires with great tread you can choose the sidewall if they have them in stock and they will ship to you.

Can I get in on this, alot of Opinions......Goodyear for some reason make ****** tires for New Vehicles but mostly they are not available afterwards. Sorry but I wouldn't run a BFG if you paid me. We use those on our work Trucks and they last 6 Months but are cheap in Bulk.

I live in severe Zamboni and Black Ice Territory and Duratracs cannot be beat. They Ride Smooth, No noise, E-Rated LT tire, Don't mind Burnouts (if your Truck can smoke a Knobby 33), but Downside is 384 to 405 Bucks a Tire and only last (mind you wear is even) 42 K miles but hell to me thats like 5-6 years of driving. If Ice is not a problem then there are other great tires to choose from and everyone has their opinions. D rated like most The Silent Armour is another Great Goodyear choice.
