gooseneck hitch

looking for tips or pointers on installing the b&w gooseneck hitch on 09 ram crew cab.

I helped my buddy install one on his Wife's '07 2500.

It's laborous, and time consuming. Set aside the better part of a day for it.
Take your time, line everything up 2 or 3x

Leadingfox, I personally wouldn't put a gooseneck hitch in a quarter ton. I wouldn't be hauling a gooseneck with any quarter ton... unless you are hauling a VERY light trailer, or just want it for looks.

If it's not a quarter ton, just make sure you do line up everything very well like WhiteExpress said. I helped put one in a old 99 Ford 7.3 dually... was such a nightmare for us. Probably would have been better just to pay somebody to do it.

Yeah, any Ram I've seen is a half ton or better... Compact trucks are usually the quarter tons...

the new one for the 2013 is stupid easy since ram put a cross member(might just be a 3500 thing), it just sites on top with 6 bolts. VERY EASY!!!
