If you go with the bils , even at +2.8" You should be fine , besides the uca ball joints don't just blow out , normally they slowly migrate upwards and is associated with a popping noise .
If this were to happen imo , if your driving normal or taking it easy you'd have time to order up a new uca whether it's a used low mile oem takeoff ( should be lots of those available ) Mevotecs or the SUPER BEEFY Zone one$ .

Hey, I have a 2014 1500 tradesmen crew cab 4wd. I purchased Bilsteins 5100's and plan on doing the 2.75 leveling setting. the tires i purchased are 35X12.50-17 Road One Cavalry MT Tires 35 12.50 17 12.50R17 Mud Tire. everything i read in this thread states i should be fine so far. i just dont know what wheel specs i need. i wanted to do 17x10 but dont know what off set or back spacing i need. also will i need any spacers for the back tires?.

You can run 17x10 wheels no problem. I'd recommend a -12 offset for your setup. You can run a -24 offset as well but that will require more trimming. The -12 offset may require a small amount of trimming as well.

With my new wheels being 20x9 with a 25.4 offset and my Bilstein set at 2.1, can I go with a 285/60 as opposed to my current 275/60 ? These are the ines that I am looking at.52edd47060c91aa4e0cd44c5eefebb5b.jpg

I think you'll need a spacer, that positive offset is killer. I measured my stock tire to the upper control arm and got roughly an inch and that's with 20x8 at a +19 offset. This is exactly why I'm going with different wheels with a +15 offset

I've been using this site for trying to figure out the setup I want. Gives you a good idea where the extra measurements will be. http://www.willtheyfit.com

Yes, you'll be able to run 285/60/20's on 20x9 +25 offset wheels. It's going to be very close, but they should fit.

You do know that the difference between a +19 offset and +15 offset is only 4mm (3/16") correct? That's not much more clearance if that's what you're looking for.

I've decided to stick with 275/60 and go with either Toyo Open Country A/T or those new Continental A/T..

I know it's only 4mm different from my stocks. I was looking at getting +25 22x10 wheels and really didn't want to fork out the cash for everything and then still have to buy spacers for almost 200$ I decided on a 24x9.5 with +15, shouldn't need spacers this way.

^^^^. Oh DANG lol, I've only read about vehicles with wheels that size I've never seen one in person. Is it safe to say that you're 2wd ?

No I'm 4x4, with the wheel and tire setup I'll be almost identical to my stocks in height and should only be about 15mm closer to the Upper control arm. I don't think I'll need spacers here.

Oh I see, well that makes more sense then. I only want one set of wheels so I'm playing the safe card and sticking with 20" wheels.

I just wanted to look a bit different is all. Everyone has lifted trucks with huge offset tires but not any around here have a sport look with big wheels and mildly aggressive low profile tires.

I'll have 295/45 tires. I'd like to get like 305/25's but I'm also trying to keep my speedo kinda accurate

I've looked on Motorsports Tech website but I am not seeing 10mm spacers for my 2011 Ram BigHorn. Is it possible that it's the 1" spacer as listed here ?cf7d06a94bc126f8db42a8c8c8f9dadb.jpg
