Is anyone running half-inch wheel spacers with standard length studs ? What is a safe minimum thread amount?

I know 10mm is OK, which is about a little over 3/8", but not sure about a 1/2" spacer....

It's 12.7 mm. I'm just a little nervous about it. I have 10mm now and would like a little nite clearance from the upper control arm.

10mm will leave you with about 6 1/2 - 7 turns on your wheel studs/lug nuts.
I personally wouldn't go less than that!

I just checked and I have 10 full rotations with a 1/4" spacer and 6 rotations with a 1/2" spacer

That's interesting. Do you run stock wheels?
I have the stock 20 Inch wheels and Motortech 10mm hub- & wheel centric spacers.
That leaves me with about 6 3/4 turns. Safe enough for me.

No I have 17" aftermarket wheels and studs. That may be the difference.
