Has anyone ordered a custom truck with the dealer or know how long it takes to receive the truck?

Ordered mine, limited, rambox, e torque, on 5/7. I am in D1 status with an estimated ship date of 5/31. I had a VIN in 2 days and 4 days went from D to D1.

Hey guys, 1st time Ram owner. Coming from a 15' Grand Cherokee Overland and a 14" Sahara before that. Really a fan of the FCA products thus for so, ordered a 2019 Limited 4x4, short bed in patriot blue with painted bumper, and only added Ramboxes.

ordered 5/18

received VIN 5/22 with this message "

Mitchell: Alright it looks like we are in the pre-production stages currenty. We are gathering the vehicle materials getting ready for assembly. The VIN is assigned now 1C6SRFHT6KN609462"

I have no idea if there is any useful information in that VIN that sticks out to anyone?

I'm expecting July/august...hopefully?

Ordered Limited with Ramboxes (no E-torque) on May 3rd. Still in D status (scheduling) as of today. Wonder if Ramboxes are the issue?

I've seen a few members post pictures of the Ramboxes in a FCA lot, but as far as I can tell (cars.com typing in keyword Rambox) there has not been one delivered to a dealer yet. Sort of thinking there is an issue as well.

The ram boxes became available to order May 2 so i'm sure it will be 10-12 weeks before and show up on dealer lots. I ordered my limited on 5/3 as well same situation still in D.
I ordered ivory so I', thinking 3- months at least. I think they are still trying to figure how to built these at capacity.

Just curious... Has anyone seen/heard of the new trucks being shipped with V8 and E-Torque yet?
Been trying to find a drive review with the E-Torque and haven't had any luck with that either.

I've been looking too. I ordered a limited with e torque, off road, and ramboxes on 5/8. The customer service along with my dealer both say it is still on track to ship 5/31. We will see I guess.......

Some delays aren't always because of the assembly plant. Dealers only get so many trucks allocated to them based on previous sales/inventory turnover. Just because a dealer submits an order, it isn't guaranteed it will be immediately scheduled even if all ordered options are available.

But if it's a "sold order" what does that have to do with stock allocation?

100% agree with Jus Cruisin. And good luck having a dealer tell you they have no allocation....

The dealer I ordered form shows 47 2019's in stock with 9 of those on transit. I'm in Texas so there are a bunch here not many in limited trim. I ordered 3-weeks ago and are still in D status. I think I will be lucky to get it in 3- months

Did you order any late a availability’s options at all?

I ordered my Limited on 4/28 and went into D1 on 5/8 and was in that for 28 days. I hit the factory on 6/4 in E status and am currently in JB for the outfitter. Should start the shipping process late this week or early next.

D1 they say can take up to 30 days. I was told by RAM customer service you can escalate with a ticket if you are still in D1 45 days past original order date. Now if you ordered etorque or Rambox that might not apply since those were late availability.

Ordered my Limited on 5/03 went D1 6/1 has rambox looks like they take up to 4 weeks to get from D1 to Kz so 11-12 weeks is what it looks like from order to delivery.

Yep. In our truck group (predominate Dodge) a number of people have ordered new Ram trucks. What they found is, delivery can be 6 weeks or as long as 12 weeks. The reason has to do with options. Ram box, goose neck tow option and special paint options are "special run" low demand options. Meaning, they hold a build order until they have 10 or more and then run the orders. We "heard" that the Ram box demand is increasing and they may take it out of the special run category.
