Has Anyone Removed the Power Wagon Hood Decal? Mine is shot!

Has anyone removed the hood decal?
I have a 2016 AEV Prospector Power Wagon that came from Phoenix, AZ. I've had it for a couple of years. The hood decal is destroyed. It is hard and very baked on.
Any tips on loosening it up so that I can remove it?

I bought it like that. Tried a bunch of stuff on the flares and the bumpers. Nothing I have found yet will bring the color back. Too much UV in AZ! It's still really fun to drive though!

I tried a heat gun and some Disolv-It on the decal.
The edges will come off but the black center of the decal is so thin that it just peels the paint off with it.....Black truck in 120 degree weather is a bad idea!

Get a rubber wheel .That is what autobody shops use,for that purpose exactly.It will take a bit of work on a large decal like yours but that is what you need to use.When you run it over the decal it will come right off.You won't have any problems. Your paint has come off in places, you mentioned ,so I am not sure of the condition of the paint on your hood overall,it may be DEAD,after trying citrus chemical products,with a heat gun.Not good for paint.Do not run the wheel in one spot too long ,as it might burn through the clear coat,and you do not want that.As I said I do not know about the condition of the paint,so I you'll need to wait and see what is under the decal

The paint was already destroyed before I bought the truck. The detail guys at the dealership used a rubber wheel and took parts of the decal and the paint off. The grey parts in the picture are primer showing through where they tried to "Fix" the hood.
I got the dealer to take the price of painting the hood off of the price of the truck.

As for my citrus and heat gun use, I was really gentle and washed the truck immediately afterward. The heat gun is a cordless Milwaukee M18, not very powerful at all. It barely heats up heat shrink. I only used it in a couple of tiny spots to see if it would help. I bought some Rapid Remover, rubber wheels and rubber scrapers on Amazon. As soon as they arrive, I'll try them out.
The center (flat black) part of the decal is shot and melted into the paint. The edges of the decal will come off with the rubber wheel. That is the only part that I tried the heat gun on.

Well sounds like the hood needs painting anyway…just sand it all off of there.

Textured krylon black paint should be able to help the flares.
I used some on black trim pieces and it has held up well for a couple of years so far.
I am going to do my exterior door handles next , as I have tried twenty two different fixes that did not last long at all.
