Has anyone upgraded the factory inverter?

Haha...right?

The Warlock is a 4th gen ram 1500. I'm curious about that though since the 2017 Rebel I used to own was rated at 300W. Maybe they use a different inverter for Canada. Or maybe the Classic 1500's were downgraded. It's fun to speculate. :p

Stranger things have happened and who knows what happened? o_O

I looked at a '21 Rebel while orchestrating the order for my Warlock but I don't recall the outlet capacity. I know I was mildly disappointed to see a feeble 150W rating on mine.

No worries, I have yet to use it after 14 months of ownership.

Damn, I just checked my manual to learn that the cigar lighter, not to be confused with a cigarette lighter, is only rated for 160W.

So, I'll need to pack an AGM battery if I want to power my larger inverter. O well. ;)

PS; Who is decided on these crazy St Patty's Day GIFs. LOL

What gauge of wiring goes to that plug from the inverter? Large enough to carry a higher load?

LOL, why would you expect anything to be larger capacity than required? :D

Maybe, if many of the other models of Ram have a larger capacity inverter.

The cord on my block heater is about 10" too short to reach anywhere useful to stow it.

Agreed, just drawing some things to think about via Q's ;)

My block heater cord barely makes it to front bumper location as well. Not 10" short though. Is still not fun to plug it in when I do use it. You tried to re-route yours? May have just taken a longer route to front? Guessing you have. What? Like another 12" would have killed the cost budget to make it right? :)

Exactly my feeling. You spend $70K on a truck and they cheat you out of 15 cents worth of AC line cord.

I could snip a couple of tie wraps but I'm certain that it still won't make it to the tow hook opening in the bumper without chopping up the loom work.

The truck has survived the second winter without a block heater, I'll tackle the job soon when it's warm and sunny. I'm just going to install a small extension cord and leave the end inside the bumper at the tow hook opening.

Maybe later today after I migrate a bunch of firewood. I really would like to try starting after a brief pre-heat. The Mopar battery sucks and the truck doesn't start easily when it gets cold and after sitting a day or two.
