Anybody have a 2013 4x4 with the hell bent steel 2.5 level? Just curious how its working out for you or if you have any vibration or wobble. Seen on they're website that if you have any wobble that you should take it off immediately so they have me a little worried bout whether I should install one or not.

I went with the bilstein 5100 adjustable shock on my 2011 1500 when I had it.

I'm taking my spacer out and going with 5100's as well. I have a lot of weight with a ranch bumper, I am opting for the performance of the 5100. Check it out.

I know a lot of guys run spacers with no issues and I'm one of them. However, they can cause problems in certain types of situations. Nothing serious, but you may have to replace ball joints early or something like that, possibly. I put my bumper on first and my truck was similarly smooth as with stock bumper, it has been noticeably harsher with the spacer. So even if you are not running a ranch bumper, the fact was for me that there is a difference between the spacer and stock. I'm biting the bullet and moving to the 5100, I have heard nothing but good stuff about the ride quality.

I have that level on my 2012 and I haven't had any issues, I have a ranch hand grill guard and I have noticed that it has gotten a little rougher and certain bumps but nothing that is going to tear the truck apart. I'm not going to lie, I do plan on upgrading to the bilsteins when I lift

Well, just ordered the 5100's and they are going in Monday. So I know I am paying a little extra, but I am having them tighten and level my bumper and alignment and install the shocks and the cost is $439. I will post a comparison of the different levels in the lifted section after I get a chance to drive around a bit on the new Bilsteins. Sometimes it takes people with a little extra weight to feel the difference. Even though guys w/o the extra weight wont feel much difference, it doesn't necessarily mean there isn't any. It has been my experience that the coil spacer (combined with heavy bumper) has caused a rougher ride in my Ram, and I will soon know if the leveling shock will fix it, make it worse, or keep it the same.

I have a 2013 4x4 with the HBS 2.5" kit. I have no issues, the HBS kit is very nice. You can see my truck in the leveling kit installed thread.

Do you mean yours pushed the ball joints out of your control arms or just moved the ball joint higher?

Bilsteins are unavailable until further notice, so I'm going the spacer route but this new upper ball joint issue has me concerned either way. Poor that Bilstein can't keep up with demand.

No it didn't push them out of the control arm it just moved one side up higher because of the angle. The side closest to the motor is still seated right but the side closest to my tire has raised up about 1/16th on driver and passenger side.

That sucks, I wonder if any with Bilsteins has had the ball joint issue?

I would think that if you put the bilsteins at 2.5 like the spacer it would do the ball joint the same it looks like its the angle that makes the ball joint come up
