Hello all. I have a 2018 Ram 2500 6.7. I have had repeated trouble with the head unit restarting and giving me issues with the backup camera. There is no time or reason for it. The head unit was replaced and about 10k miles later it dis doing the same thing. What is nice is it threw some codes and when the dealership was doing a software update the unit freaked out and would not up load the software. They said there was a bad batch of head units and is ordering a new one but not sure when it will be here. So now I am stuck with no head unit and the HVAC is stuck on the temp when I took it in. Well in good when it was 90F outside but now I need the heater and defroster. The heater in the seats don't work, the warning sensors don't work, the heated steering wheel doesn't work. Pretty much anything that is to do with the head unit which is the brains for so much doesn't work. I am so freaking pissed at how Ram is dealing with this and after 4 rams I am think about witching back to Chevy. I hate that this has went this far and I am frustrated.

So on to week 3 of this issue.

Thanks for letting me rant..

Is this a problem with anyone else? Oh by the way my son has the same truck but in mega cab and his head unit is separating and he has no clue when a new head unit is coming too.

My 2019 8" head unit has gone bad. Lost sound & Bluetooth capabilities.
Looking for an aftermarket replacement that will provide access to the Settings and other features the oem head units offers.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated
