Also, when I pulled the fender liners, every single push pin head broke off as I was pulling them. All 3 on both sides. I reinstalled them without the pushpins, and plan to go buy some more today. Just another frustration on the list. The most frustrating part about that is that I actually have the proper removal tools for them, and they all still broke, exactly the same way.

I just hope I was able to get everything tight enough. When I cranked it, there was a tick for about 1/2 second. The tick from the broken bolt lasted 10-15 seconds. It went away so fast I couldn’t tell where it came from. I’ll try remote starting it in the morning and see if I can get an idea where it is. I damn sure don’t want to have to mess with any of that again, but I also don’t want anything leaking.

I just stuck my head under the front of the truck and remote started it and didn’t hear anything. I shut it off pretty quick so it wouldn’t get too hot, and I’ll remote start it again and listen before I leave in a bit. Hopefully it is all good. I really don’t want to have to tear back into it, and wouldn’t even know where to start. I felt around everything last night and didn’t feel any leaks, it you can only get so close to the headers. I damn sure didn’t want to burn my hands/arms checking.

It seems to have been a one time issue. So far, it hasnt happened again, and it appears everything is sealed as it should be. I'm certainly glad that's over and I dont have to mess with it again.

I just bent mine out of the way.

I ended up doing basically what you did, except I did not bolt/screw the bracket down. I used a heavy duty zip tie to secure it to the control arm mount.

Despite all of the open space on the passenger side vs the cramped working area on the drivers side, due to the shape of each header and the tube routings, I found the drivers side much easier to get on and tightened down. I did unbolt the steering shaft and push the top half up and secured it with zip ties so it would stay out of the way. There was just more room around the bolts on the drivers side to allow easier access to tighten them.
