At approximately 117,000 I had to have the headers replaced after the dealership found them to both be cracked. $2400.00. Earlier in the exhaust sytem life, I had to have sheared bolts replaced on the exhaust pipe connector flange...on a couple of occasions.

I thought I had heard that RAM was aware of an ongoing cracked header problem, but when I contacted RAM, they refused to cover the obvious defective part. They claimed it was because the mileage was over 100,000 miles.

I am disappointed RAM Corporate doesn't have the integrity to help with covering part of this obvious defects repair costs. I would be happy with even just half of the total repair bill be covered and me reimbursed.

Any thought or comments?

Your truck is going on 8 years old with a 117,000 miles,i think you're asking alot for them to help you out.You could of put the BD manifolds on yourself for alot less money and had a better quality manifold

It’s got a Hemi in it
I mean…their idea is to get you to the end of warranty and hope you come back to make another purchase if the truck hasn’t fallen apart yet. They definitely aren’t going out of their way to cover cheap exhaust manifolds.
