So I am fairly positive I have a broken exhaust manifold bolt. So my thought was if I am going to fix and replace them I was thinking of putting a set of shortys on the truck since the manifold heat shields are rusted off. Question is, my main concern is longevity of the truck/motor. I plan on keeping this truck well past 200,000 miles. Will adding headers in any way hurt that chance?

No they won't hurt it in any way. Make sure it's a quality install and you shouldn't have any issues. I have had 2 trucks that were daily driver's with full exhaust, long tube headers back and never had any issues
