Are exhaust flange gaskets needed on the 19 Ram 1500 Classic 5.7? I hope I am describing this correctly. I think this joint is between the collector and the cats. Do these gaskets go bad frequently? Had a smoke test done, mechanic said a leak was coming from around the converter. Only other place I could think of. Hear a leak at acceleration. BBK headers installed a few years back.

Check them for cracks,as BBK's are famous for cracking, and are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality.

Yeah, its likely they cracked somewhere. I assume they are shorties. We recommend the AFE shorty headers. Let us know if we can help. Message me for more info or a quote
