I recently bought a 2012 1500 laramie packaged Ram, LOVE THE TRUCK!! First Dodge ever, but im having an issue ive noticed. The prior owner installed LED headlights in the non projector housings. The install looks somewhat professional and not a hack job, but the constantly "Flicker" almost like they go dim, then bright, etc... the fog lights are also LED and they DO NOT flicker at all. I removed the housings with the intent of installing a set of HID lights t hat I bought but they dont seem to wire up correctly. Im very confused as what I need to do to get a set of HID lights in here with out spending a million dollars. the HID kit I bought are a set of H11's. Can someone please instruct me as to what i need to purchase to make HID's work in this truck, this seems way more complicated then it needs to be! Thank you very much

DDMtuning has a decent set that have a very stock-like beam pattern, just way brighter.

They are a direct replacement for the stock halogen.

You will likely have a bulb, wired to a small box, wired into an adapter which plugs into the stock connector.

Unplug from the stock connector, use the HID kit of your choice, stock connector > HID balast box > HID bulb. Many ballasts won't fit inside headlight housing, so you will likely need to bore a hole in the dust cap, use the usually attached grommet to make the connections water sealed.

Common sense isn't...nor is common decency.

I had purchased some LED replacements for my '14 but needed an adapter/ballast in order for them to work properly. they improved the lightly immensely but I ultimately went for projector replacements. I actually have the bulbs and adapters listed in the for sale section. The adapters were purchased from one of the vendors listed here, but i've forgotten who. I think the adapter was in the $135 range on top of the cost of the bulbs.

im confused cause there is like a pigtail harness that spiders through the housing which connects to a connector from the truck... no matter what combo i tried when attempting to install the HID set, it wouldnt match up... im not a complete "n00b" ive installed several sets of these in my chevy trucks, but this just isnt working out for me.. maybe im super stupid, but i need pics!

Many have reversible connectors. You have to get the + and - correctly oriented.
