Everytime I turn on my truck, its easily a few seconds before my headlights come on, why the delay? I have them on Auto all the time, maybe I was used to my Nissan where the lights came on first, but I just want to know if its normal.

Thanx,

The truck has to "sense" that its dark.

I don't like the "auto" stuff. I'll turn my lights on when I want 'em on.

I just put tape over the sensor (ghetto I know) but I like having them on all the time. At least if someone pulls out in front of me and I hit them I can say I had my lights on, and you still didn't see me.

Same here. My lights also come on when I unlock the doors though, so they are usually still on when I turn the key.

It's the small blackish ball in the center of the dash by the windshield
