Hello everyone!

Im experiencing some issues with my headlights lately. Whenever I drive at night, after some driving my low beams will shut off. My DRLs/turn signals, hi beams, and fogs work just fine.

When they go off, Im able to turn my headlight dial to off then back to on or auto and they work again. But after the 2nd or 3rd time, the dial fix no longer works and requires me to shut the truck off then back on again for the headlights to come on. This was a problem on both a pair of OE projectors and my current Gen2 Moriomotos.
Anyone have a suggestion on what it could be?

I was told it may be the headlight dial unit but havent seen any other posts with this similar problem. Thanks in advance!

I do not, but I do have the MPVI2 HP Tuners cable. Im able to clear codes that way. No credits on it yet for programming but if its a simple thing it may work?

Pull body module codes and see it they are saying open or short. If saying open you may need AlfaOBD to set to HID headlights.

I run LED without load resistors with no errors. I used AlfaOBD to set headlights to HID though. Your lights shutting off is the load being to low. You can fix with AlfaOBD. Since it was working it is probably your bulbs are right at dtc trigger current.

Had similar issue with mine. Followed the directions from this Youtube video.
The switch worked for about a month and started acting again. I ended up buying new one. It's been over a year without issues.

Saw this video but thank you! But noticed his was staying on, not just shutting off though. Also I rarely touch the dial. I just want to be certain its the switch before spending 50$ on a new one.

You can try cleaning it if you want to rule out the switch. Good luck with it, whichever way you're going to try to fix it.

No luck yet on the lights. I noticed the other night when it went out, I started the truck up again in the morning then got the headlight out notification on my dash, but it went away after a few minutes.

I noticed a little bit of corrosion on the main headlight connection female end but everything still appeared to be making contact.

I had this same issue but only when the temp was dropping outside, the colder it was the more frequent the shutoff.

I think my issue was cheap led lights off Amazon.

I recently (today) installed a new set of lumen h11x... first test drive no issues, tomorrow will give me a more solid review
