My truck sold now and I guess it's just a matter of time for the heated seat not to come on but it's winter. So anyway it's a 2011 and I'm wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for the heated seat? When I turn those seat on it only stays on for a couple of seconds and then turns off I'm guessing it's a relay that's worn out but I have no idea where to find it

The heated seat module is mounted to the bottom of the drivers seat. There could be many reasons why the heated seats aren't working. I have all the diagrams for the 13 and up but unfortunately not the 12 and older trucks. The first thing I would check is all the wiring going to both seats and the seat module. If you get a good scanner that shows DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) such as the alpha OBD tool it should give you a better idea of what may be going on.

Hey man, sorry to hear this...getting ready to tackle the same issue only with the heated steering wheel in my 2011. Seems like a common issue, just no common fix.

Mine does the same thing, but only if it's really cold. It was 35 here this morning and no go. But if it's around 50, it seems to work. Quite often if I shut the truck off for a moment or two, then back on it seems to work. The passenger seat and steering wheel work all the time though.

Yeah I haven't had a chance to tackle this yet. But I tell you you miss it when you don't have it.

I have a 2011 Laramie Longhorn that does the same thing What i do and it works every time.. I shut the truck off and restart it again.. It has always stayed on after I have done that.. Once in a while with either the remote start or the key I will have to restart it ..... That simple..annoying but simple

Hmmm, that used to work on mine, but the last couple weeks, it's not working at all now. Steering wheel and passenger seat work fine. The left side of the seat is starting to come apart so I'm thinking to get that repaired, maybe I'll have to heating elements put in at the same time. Depends on cost.

I have the same problem I think with my 2010 Laramie. It started withe the drivers seat and now has gone to the passengers side as well. The rears and the steering wheel still good as of now. I checked it out on You Tube and one video said if just the top light (of the 2 on the button) is blinking its a broken wire. If both lights ont he button are blinking its the element. Problem is for me they don't blink, they just come on for a second and then go off. No heat. I am wondering if it is the control module. Need more info before I start taking the seats apart for a fix.
