If the mirrors that came on your truck don’t have turn signals, then you will need to have the turn signals on your new mirrors activated in the bcm.
They’ll be plug n play, but yes, dealer will have to add sales code for turn signals. They usually charge an hour, about $100-$130.
We charge 0.5hr labour for adding a sales code. You wont need a wiring harness or anything.
AlphaOBD
That program along with the appropriate OBD Bluetooth interface can do what you need..... and a hell of a lot more. I hear cost is about $120-130 for the program and interface
It’s going to depend on the hourly labour rate. 0.5hr for us is about $60-$70 Canadian pesos. Thanks, how much is a half hour?
Yup. All sorts of goodies.
Fogs on with Highs
Turn signal/puddle lights on mirrors
Changing the bulb out warnings on most every bulb in the truck (changing from incandescent to LED.. and not requiring a resistor to accomplish it)
When you get to adding things like heated seats or putting options in your trim level truck didn’t come with, and you add the required wiring or whatever is required for it, AlphaOBD can “turn it on”
In the DIY section there is a long thread labeled “AlphaOBD” with tons of info.
I’m not sure I follow...you’re going to press a button on the radio screen every time you go to use your turn signals?I think im just gonna buy the alpine truck accessory module for 150. That way I will have an icon i can touch on my radio screen to tuen them off and on.
From what it looks like, they don't offer the app for an iPhone. They have them for cell phones that use Andriod operating systems like Samsungs or similar phones. If you have a laptop that uses Windows and has Bluetooth capability you can use that to get the Alpha OBD to work.
