need to check the blend actuators if you have a dual zone temperature controls. Another thing would be trying to back flush the heater core but that's not been 100% effective so a heater core replacement maybe needed

Drain the cooling system first.
Then disconnect both hoses from the heater core.
Then use a garden hose to reverse flush the heater core by running the running the water into the outlet side of the heater core.
Next hook heater hoses back up and fill with water and a cooling system flush/cleaner.
Then drain and flush with water and repeat heater hose removal and reverse flush a second time.
Then refill with the proper required coolant as stated in the owners manual for your ram

Another suggestion, if you have this setup

1643509156931.png
turn your ignition to ON, do not Start

Press the Fan Control knob for something like 5 seconds
release
shut ignition off
Start truck & play with the control knobs

Someone may know the correct sequence, my memory may have failed me

How was the heat before the tstat change? you probably just have air in the system make sure to burp the system takes a while also not a bad idea to flush the heater core I still have not come across a blend door failure on a 4th gen yet older 3rd gens they broke all the time.
