Recently bought a 2018 Ram 2500 when testing out the truck, didnt really care about the Heater/AC

Now that i need the Heater to Defrost in the morning, It blows fine but takes FOREVER to heat up, cant defrost or heat up my hands!

i need to be running almost normal temps to get some what warm air. I leave the AC button off aswell..

Does the Banks Grid Heater delete help with what im going through? Or is this possibly something else? Like heating core or Thermostat?

Im new to Rams so any help would be appreciated.
You have two potential issues, number one you are in the casting sand years where sand eventually makes its way into heater core and starts crystallizing. Number two you have a egr cooler and is next to your heater core and heats the engine bay and crystallizes coolant a couple ways. As your EGR cooler gums up and it is a very safe bet it is gummed up, they get hotter and coolant gets hotter trying to cool it down. Even though the tech is bad for vehicle owners, it is about the climate. Know the difference between the egr and the EGR cooler. The issue happens because they take exhaust gas that is hot and then cool it, which leaves by products and tanks the exhaust system and if left un fixed with end your turbo as well.

Sadly it sounds like you didn't do due diligence when buying, this issue is facing every diesel especially a 2018. The cool air sadly in this "can" mean the canary in the coal mine died on you and doom is coming. This is a symptom of something much larger "potentially" Hopefully you got a good price, even if it is just a heater core that is also a cluster fawk this side of hell to exchange. Try flushing the line to heater core, see if sand comes out. I like the rmi-25 route, some other like different more stronger flushes.

Worst case scenario as of now is EGR cooler replacement or cleaning and heater core cleaning or replacement, that is worst case. But if EGR cooler is gummed and you don't fix it then it can take the turbo with it, takes a 10k fix to over 20k.

I wired front grill blend doors
Its helps warming up quicker 5.7hemi 2014
I had doors with motors already just run switch inside. When very cold closed doors helps to get regular temperatures quicker
Piece of cardboard will do also

So many people have decided to live with clogged heater cores and don't know and accept as a normal thing. they try to flush them with mixed results. They also don't seem to understand that the crud clogging them is coming from some place else. After our '16 had issues we flushed the core with a air/ water flush gun and circulated cleaner for a few hours. But, wait there's more! what about the block why not flush it too?? the flush gun was connected to the heater connections on the engine to actually dislodge plenty more crud out the bottom radiator hose...no more cold blooded beast heater works like it should as many have forgotten

might not hurt to see if there is a cab filter in heater box. Have a Dodge Caravan and heat started to be less and less when actually the air filter was plugged. Pulled it out and had lots of warm air. Just an idea.
