So, my '13 CC was in the shop today for a check engine light. While they had my truck they completed a software update on my factory stereo. I'm not sure the model stereo but it's the 5.0" touchscreen without nav. Anyhow, after the update my front channel is gone. I have my amp off of the front speaker channels and there is power to my amp but nothing from the LOC. I checked for power at my LOC and there is no signal coming in from the head unit. Any ideas? The service tech originally said it was my problem because of 'aftermarket equipment' however has slightly changed his position and is awaiting a response from his 'aftermarket technician'. While I wait for their response is there anything else I can check?

Thanks folks.

Quick update, hopefully someone will share some insight to my issue.

Dealership sent out an audio guy who confirmed there was no signal going to my LOC and recommended the dealership to replace the head unit. Today the head unit was replaced with a factory fresh OEM unit. The result? Same problem... Anybody have any ideas?

I thought the same thing. I jumpered my output from head unit to speakers and got no sound. I slaved in my speakers to another stereo and they worked. I also slaved another speaker directly to the head unit and again got nothing. ..it's not the loc.

Sometimes software updates do not install correctly. Kind of like a bad flash when updating the BIOS on your computer.

Maybe the dealer can force a reinstall of the software, don't think you can do that yourself though.
