Hey everyone

Yesterday i was a red light and on the other side was another 4th gen and when it went by it was much loud then mine!! My truck has a flowmaster 40 series witch sounds awesome but i want a little more "who doesnt" lol

So now whats next??
I was thinking about a set of headers? and a little extra performance wouldnt hurt!! i called a garage today and they gave me a price on labor of 450$ up to 600$!!!

Just wondering what everyone is doing ??

Electric cut out. That plus headers= loud as crap!

Are headers a very big job? It dosent seem like a very difficult job.. because i dont feel like paying 600$ a garage to do it!!

is their anyone here that has the electric cut out ???

love to hear some videos!!!

Ditch the flowmasters and go with a straight pipe, or Mufflex DODM80 if they didn't ****** the factory bolt ups. Heres my DODM80 video DODM80 - YouTube

Noise = Vibration, doesn't mean the louder truck is faster, just that it is more miserable on long trips.

I agree with Burla lol. It is almost like having the balls that hang off the hitch on the back of your truck that make you look like a *********.

Better to destroy him in a drag race with a sneakier truck, and watch his di*k wilt lol.

In not looking to be that guy with the loudest truck out there.. I love the sounds of my 40 series, I guess I'm looking for a little power and the sounds to come with it lol

I know their is 2 little resonator before the tips maybe they can be deleted?

And with headers I'm sure would be awesome!!

Put an xpipe with no muffler on it. Sounds mean and loud and doesn't drone in the cab at high way speeds

Put a Magnaflow Y pipe and a 3in magnapak and cut the resonators off. It will be loud and will not have the drone inside the truck.

Thats a solid idea ^^^^

or if you wanna spend less, just remove that FM40. Leave the factory Reso's and call it a day.

I originally swapped a Super FM44 in my truck, but it just didnt do it for me. I did the muffler delete = Happy As S*&t !!!!!!!. Then in addition to that for some more noise under the hood. I modified my OEM Airbox, and it sounds angry lol ! I didnt feel like spending alot lol. my truck has plenty of power for me right now.

If your truck has the built in duals, it's likely louder than you think. You were probably hearing that guys exhaust from the rear of his truck.

I have a flowmaster 40 series, and my truck sounds alot louder to me when I hear someone else drive it while I'm standing outside listening, than it does while I'm in the cab driving.

It's because the exhaust is run all the way to the rear of the truck.

I just noticed when i did the muffler delete on my truck i lost to much bottom end but you do gain it back on top. But it does sound good just when you crank it up on a cold morning it does kind of sound like it doesnt have a muffler.
