Help with Key Fob

I have a 6 month old RAM 2500 (2017). Yesterday, my wife was stranded when the keyfob she had wouldn't start the truck. It would unlock and lock the doors, just nothing when trying to start. I had to drive out where she was with the other keyfob and it fired right up. I changed the battery in the offending keyfob, but it still will not start the truck. Is it in some kind of valet mode? Has it somehow become dissassociated with the truck? Any help would be great. Hopefully there's a way to reset/re-synch this with the truck myself? THANKS!

Not sure. I would take it to the dealer and see if it is defective or needs reprogramming.

All dealers are defective and need reprogramming.

I had a similar situation on my 2014. The dealer said they had to reprogram the FOB. Lousy part about it, it happened again and of course it's out of warranty now.

My fob failed the other day and the panic alarm went off at 2 am. could not shut off. replaced battery but fob is faulty. Will remote start truck but doesn't recognize fob to start when inside the truck. Will unlock but not lock. panic sounds for no reason at random times and will not stop until I use the other good remote. Electronics, got to love 'em. Fortunately the key fob is covered under warranty. Going to pick up new one today. 2016 Ram 4500
