So here’s the deal I’ve got a 15 ram 1500 all blacked out well still need to replace fog and tail but now I’m think power time. I’ve done your basics intake exhaust thermostat. What should I start with PCM and programmer or Throttlebody or
Headers ?
I plan on doing all listed above plus cam but what’s first

So from what I hear and read multiple times on this fourm is that headers will give you the biggest bolt on power gain. But they require a custom tune to get the full power sadly.

I have a 15 bighorn 5.7 and the very first mod I did was a PCM swap and custom tune with Jay Greene. And I can say it's one HELL of a difference.

I did th in tune i3 with diablo sport. HP tuners is another option to go with but I asked Jay and he said they are very similar.

Total cost of everything
PCM swap and i3 was $500. Ecm tune was 225 at the time and tcm was 75 at the time so all in all I spent 800. But his tune, I'm pretty sure, is more expensive now. I got lucky and literally as soon as I bought it his price went up.

Same here, the tune by itself made helluva difference.

You might be just happy with a tune, now I did add headers after a year but as more of preventive mnt justification/excuse with not wanting broken bolts and that was another big kick in the pants. Once your tuned, your tuner will make free adjustments with any new bolt-ins. Custom tuning is the foundation and possibly enough for daily driver type people.

Clutch fan removal is noticable in throttle response, it's cheap and easy to do.

As long as you run the A/C the fan is on the high speed mode, turning your heater controls to defrost with-out the A/C will run the fan on the low speed mode. You can remove the clutch fan ,stick a 180 thermostat in the engine, and get away with out a tune,as long as the A/C is on,or the heater controls are set to defrost, but eventually you'll want a tune. Do the throttle body as the last mod,as you'll be disappointed doing it as one of the first mods, they don't add a hell'va lot to a stock truck. As stated tune / long tube headers first then cam and finally a throttle body

So what is your CAM recommendation for a hotter daily driver and occasional tower? Already got the prerequisites done.

You're best bet is to get ahold of the cam outfits, and give them your truck specs / intended usage etc. Moes / Jay Greene / Texas Speed / Demon Motorsports / Modern Muscle Xtreme / Comp Cams are all good places to start, theres a few more, those are just the ones off the top of my head.Talk to the guys actually doing the cams, they'll be able to advise you better then any of us here will be able to,lol.Time to put in some foot work on your own when it comes to cam selection.

That’s what I was thinking. That or Throttlebody

this will do nothing, go straight to a custom tune, then piggy back off that mod

Assuming you mean long tube headers then it would likely make the most sense to get the tuner and tunes first as you would need it anyway for the long term headers so your not throwing codes and to get the most out of the headers.... at least thats what I’ve gathered from reading on here
