I have a Dakota with a 3.9. I got a new distributor and proceeded to change it out. I moved it to TDC and replaced it . But when I test drove it I can't get over 35 mph . I put new plugs and gap them 40 I'm stumped any ideas

since you pulled the distributor and installed a new one you need to adjust the distributor to set the fuel sync. i think you can do that without a scanner but it is a real pain in the but to do.
