I used HemiFever on my 2014 6.4L 2500. The results were very good.

not a hemi but I had Hemifever tune my 5.9 Magnum in a Dakota R/T. Stock bottom end, edelbrock heads, M1 intake, mid-length headers, and a bigger cam.

He could not figure out how to get the computer to be happy with the lower vacuum signal of the bigger cam and being that I also T56 swapped the truck, when coming to a stop, my RPM would hang at 1500-2000 until wheel speed hit zero, then it would finally go back down to idle. Something to do with the computer trying to keep a target vacuum signal until stopped, to ensure enough manifold vacuum for the power brake booster.

I had enough and finally paid FlyinRyan to give it a shot. I had to bascially beg him to try because previoulsy, I had offered praises for Hemifever and Ryan had noticed.

Ryan nailed it and made a little more power to boot.

If I was going to tune my truck, I would go with Ryan.

Ryan is who I use for tuning.
Any reason why you're going with shorty headers over long tubes?
honestly i am not 100% sure on long tubes or shorty headers my 5.7 just hit 100k miles so not sure how the extra power makes the engine more or less durable. i also have the locked pcm which means i am going to have to send it off or if frptuning can send an unlocked one with the tune and price

so i ended up going through ryan who helped out ALOT. i got a quick turn around with my PCM within a week. Ended up going with a bigger Texas cam which i fell in love with. I had BBK shorties but they ended up cracking 6 months after i bought them...wasnt a fan of that

i would recommend going long tubes if you go through ryan, the bang is definitley worth the buck

Correct, it will still have the same factory tune loaded. If you search my posts, I found a way to get a free unlock from hptuners (assuming it still works). Your truck will be down for a week or so while you send it off and wait for the return

i forgot to say, what i do recommend is stay away from MOPAR header gaskets when you install you long tubes. i go with the felpro, they are made out of thicker material that withstands higher temperatures. kooks longtubes is what i ended up going with when i purchased mine

If you want to go long tubes, let me know. We highly recommend Stainless Works. They have great fitment, are high quality, and will for sure be the best bolt on power gaining mod you can get for your RAM.

Just send me a message for a quote.

never done the whole hp tuners thing. I purchased the pcm unlock and the canned tunes package for around $1190 which i dont think is bad at all and they have been working with me all the way through explaining everything. my concern now is the process of receiving my headers, taking them to get installed, and timing the process of the tune so that my truck runs good. It is my daily driver so i need to time that right. Any advice on coordinating and conducting initial tuning??

Order a set of these off Canuck Amazon and you'll be able to drive as long as you want before tuning it. These aren't available in the States,as you guys have some really whacked rules down south, but they work.

It will run, But will throw codes. :anitoof: I ran my LTs for a while before I tunes mine.
Hoping doesnt run too bad i drive about 40 miles to work it should stay with the 02 sensors so not sure which codes it can give. i also had my pcm unlocked so hoping to schedule the appointment with the tunes maybe the same day or the day after i put the long tubes on
