Hid bulb issue

I have a 2017 sport with projectors. I got some hid bulbs from theretrofitsource and I'm having a strange issue. My right headlight is perfect and the hid bulb when inserted the filament (white thin part) is at the 3 o'clock position. When I put the left in its at the 8 o'clock position and I get a black dark spot in the light( pic attached) is it possible that the retaining clip on the housing is wrong?

You have to loosen the retainer plate and clock the bulb to the right position, then screw the retainer plate back down. Very simple
