The most important thing with HID's are ballasts. All ballasts will eventually fail. Cheap ballasts fail sooner. I had some crap balasts from a DDM kit on my old truck that I drove maybe once per week, and maybe once a month at night. The ballasts lasted a whole 18 months, and during that time I put literally 2500 miles on the truck. With HID equipment, you get what you pay for.

I too am interested in swapping in hids on my 13 with factory projectors.

How much does retroshops have the kit for and is it plug and play with no error codes?
