One of the things that bugged me about sending text messages with uConnect in my 2014 is the LONG prompts ("If you'd like to cancel your message, say..."). There is no "expert mode prompt" settings like most voicemail systems. I found out by accident that if you hit the phone button (on steering wheel) when this prompt starts, you stop the prompt and you can say "send". I believe you can interrupt the say-back portion as well, but while the voice recognition is good, I don't trust it that much.

I found out my truck had a CD player, hidden under the center console. Didn't know that until I was reading the build sheet on ramtrucks.com. pleasant surprise.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned but the automatic wipers and automatic high beams are cool options.

This is ironic. It has been ******* me off for a while now and I was glad to read your post. I'm one of those people that usually reads manuals though and just got to it . it's actually in the electronics section.

Good thread! (although a little long!)

Small thing, but some folks don't notice it - if you're in navigation, it shows you the speed limit of the road you're on in the bottom right hand corner.

And on my truck I can leave my key in my pocket and just put my hand under the door handle and the door will unlock automatically.

The electronics on this thing were quite the upgrade from my 2004 Titan!

Unsure if this has been mentioned. For guys with rear sliding window, You can operate it with out the key in ignition after turning truck off till you open the door. I would expect that on the side windows but not the rear slider. Would be nice if it was "one touch"

just got the 2014 Crewcab 5.7, incredible. going to take me a long time to figure out the bells and whistles. Big question: I am down on texting and driving, but now with the touch screen and the dash display, I'm afraid of how much there is to take my eyes off the road! Can someone please tell me if it is possible to have the dash display shown on the touch screen display? thanks!

You can turn off the Dash display all together by scrolling all the way down with the arrows on the steering wheel. Is this what you are asking for?

Don't understand your question. What do you mean by dash display? Are you talking about the screen in your instrument cluster behind the wheel?

I played around with the system a bit, and read some of the book, but what I'm looking for is whether or not I can put the info from the screens on the instrument cluster display onto the center console touch screen? That way I can pull up the engine temp or whatever, put it on the center, and have the person in the passenger seat tell me what it is saying---while I keep my eyes on the road! Do you know if that is possible? cheers!

Couple questions.

1: Why did i get keys with my fobs? LIke these are big keys, looks like ignition keys, werid.
2: Is there any way to mute audio from steering wheel?
3: Does the truck have protection built in, if you turn key over while vehicle is running?

Are you ready for this?
1. Doors and tailgate--i.e. when battery dies.
2. No
3. Yes. Ignition wont let you start it twice.

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, the underseat storage is under the front BENCH seat not under the BACK seat, only thing I know storage wise in the back seat is the beer coolers under the carpet mats
Back seat has storage underneath in the Crew Cab. If you have premium sound that's where your powered woofer is located. Pull up on the leading edge of the rear seat. You'll see a latched compartment on the left side--that where I keep the jumpers and road hazard stuff.

why do we need 4 of them tho? bit annoying having a key in the fob plus the 2 extras which are a bit bulky
Key in the fob is the oh-$hit battery is dead and I didn't bring my whole key ring key. Key on the chain is the open the door or tailgate key normally without using the fob.

i don't have storage under the back seat, there's a indentation on each side that can be used as storage but no lid or anything. i was told the rear storage was standard on the crew but maybe it's just different for the outdoorsman

Far as I know all Crew Cabs have the under floor compartments. If you have a quad cab it does not.
