I apologize in advance for the newb questions, guys.
I have never owned a truck before let alone lifted with 35" tires, so this is all unknown territory for me.

I am getting a small lift put on my truck with 1/4 inch wheel spacers this week. I've been researching tires like crazy on this forum and others for over two weeks as well. My goal is to get a 35x12.5 tire put but keep decent life and comfort.

I was looking at the Michelin Defender but realized the warranty was only 50k miles. NTB has the Grappler G2 for a great deal right now ($250 a piece) and also has a 50k mileage warranty. I drive 70% on highways and country back roads. How much louder are these tires going to be over the Defenders? Would it be rediculous like an MT or decent like the KO2's? Is 50k a realistic expectation?

I have a set of G2's on my ram at 30k miles now and still have a ton of tread. I will easily get 60k out of them. My fathers 2500 Powerwagon, same tires are even better looking. 2 things will eat them up fast. Bad driving habits, ya know heavy skinny pedal action, as well alignment. They last a long time but you can burn them off fast if you arent careful with them.

All A/ts will be louder, dont let anyone say they are silent, they are not! That being said I am not dissapointed in the volume that the tires like to speak to me, but I did buy them being hailed as the quietest a/t tire.

I don't think you'll find a AT tire that is rated better then about 50k miles... I have the G2's on my truck and was told by the tire guy that I should get at least 60K out of them with proper inflation and rotation.

I got just over 50,000 out of a Cooper AT3 and a Mastercraft courser axt. Rotation is key every 5,000 miles.

My mastercraft mxt s have 35k and shop said they look awesome. And only cost me 1100 mounted and balanced. Cheaper than any other tire I was looking at

Thanks for the info. My biggest concern was tread life, which y'all just put to rest. Eases the nerves a bit.

I really want the BFG ko2 but I'm worried about the life also. We pull a 8k trailer 5 times a year and I really don't wanna replace them every 25-30k miles! I've been reading up on the coopers also.

You said you are looking for comfort....many A/T tires only come as 10 ply rated and ride rougher than a stock tire.

I have had Cooper A/T3s and found they wear well (50,000+ miles) and are very quiet and comfortable...

Also, the Falken A/T tires are likewise quiet and comfortable...

I've had both and prefer the coopers...good luck

My dad has ran the coopers on his Ford F-150 for a long time. He swears by them. He does construction so it's always loaded with tools/ materials and he pulls a 12ft box trailer. He gets 50k a set and loves them.
