So, my 14 Blackout Express, and my 16 big horn (both hemi's) make a loud humming/whistle sound for about 10 seconds after a cold start up on very cold mornings. Ive done the "Google" and found im not the only one, but no one seems to know what it is. Oil pump has been debunked, so has the "alternator bearings".

I've got the same thing happen to me last week when starting at 20*F. Here's my earlier post :

http://www.ramforum.com/threads/whining-noise-at-cold-start.113342/

It seemed like mine was whining louder right at the alternator, but it could be one of the pulleys as well...

I've read some about it on other forum too and so far didn't see a solution.

I guess it's normal, just the way hemi starts at cold weather, pulleys and belt is very cold...

Let me know if you find any solution.
