Hey guys. I am moving on Tuesday so I am just looking over my truck and doing some routine maintenance and while checking everything over I found a small hole in my drive belt. Any idea what could have caused a hole like this in the belt?

My guess is a small rock was kicked up somehow and got caught between the belt and one of the pulleys

It looks like it separated rather than something puncturing it. Probably one of the inside ribs broke and the outer material separated.

Looks like a small rock got sucked into a pulley and it poked through the belt. I'd check all your pullies for damage when you replace the belt...
