You're running 35s right? Therefore your spare tire carrier area is wasted space currently. This is what I did with my space. I love my train horn probably more than I love my truck. Lol

Nope. Not at all. I bought the rear Mopar fender wells and haven't had an issue. Look up airhornsoftexas.com I bought the United pacific 46115 train horn. Loud as all hell. Lol

Your horn is located behind your fuse box. I go mudding a lot and happen to hit a big puddle that filled my horn weakening my horn by 10fold. You may have got something lodged in your or just natural occurring debris from the years. It's a couple bolts to get off with a ratchet and a couple plugs holding it in. Just take it of and run so alcohol through it then blow some compressed air through it and that should help if that's the case or if that's to much just go on jjegs and buy a new one for $68 and that will take care of it.

I remember the horn on my 05 Tacoma went pussified... I got another horn off and older Chevy out in the pasture and wired them together - free train horn! But to answer your question it seems that your horn is on it's way out, the horn honk was the first thing I turned off when I got my truck so I never use it nor hear it.

i don't know if it would be the same on newer vehicle but there is usually a screw on the back of the horn that can be adjusted to change the sound a bit.

i eventually came accross a horn that i think suits my truck perfectly. now i just need to keep waiting to trying to find one with a longer trumpet like my dads set. this is my dads set before i repaired and painted them. they are loud

How do I turn that off? I want to wire in a train horn but not hear the damn thing when I lock my truck.

Stand near it - press and hold the "lock" button for at least 4 sec, but no more than 10 sec, while still holding the "lock" button press the "panic" button and release both at the same time.

You can also disable the lights flashing... press and hold the "unlock" button for at least 4 sec, but no more than 10 sec, while still holding the "unlock" button press the "lock" button and release both at the same time.

You can turn these off by following the same steps.
