This d@mned "ozone warning for Galveston County" that keeps hogging my U-Connect screen? I've been thru every setting and can't find it. I'm 100 miles from Galveston, even if I was there I still could care less!

Next time I drive it. I know it'll be there at least once every 10 minutes or so.

I don’t think you can’t get rid of it by any setting. During the hurricane last year mine was blowing up, kept saying I was in a hurricane and I’m like “well no ****”

Sure wish you could find it, I have asked on other forums and here and no luck at all.

This is a reply from another forum but same topic

The weather alerts you are experiencing are a feature of SiriusXM Travel link and unfortunately cannot be disabled. We have passed customer feedback regarding this feature along to Uconnect in the past and will be sure to send this thread over as well. We would recommend reaching out to SiriusXM Customer Care for further assistance!

From some of the quick reading I've done about it, look and see if there is a setting to turn off Travel Link cuz that seems to be what controls the weather alerts....

So, this travel Link is on all the time? I haven't activated anything from Sirius (yet) and frankly, I don't intend to. We have XM on the wife's car and there are only 2 or 3 stations we listen to. I can get all my musical "needs" fulfilled thru local stations or a thumbdrive.

After an hour of Googling, it looks like the only viable solution is to unplug the satellite feed plug from the radio head. Some people on other Dodge (cars) forums are using a "Tazer" with a new update to disable it. Had to look that up, it's a programmer that plugs into the OBDII port. So far, I've sent email complaints to Chrysler Customer Assistance Center and NHTSA concerning the lack of being able to turn this off. I don't feel safe driving and constantly having to click a popup screen that does nothing but... interfere with my driving.

You know, if all you people would get rid of your trucks and buy Priuses we wouldn't have to worry about "global warming" and "ozone warnings"..... problem solved!!!

Maybe if the prius owners would quit wanting their trucks to be like their car we wouldn’t have all these warnings :emotions33:

Got one two blocks from the house on the 3 mile trip to get a haircut, another on the way home.

I believe Travelink controls the warnings , Travelink & real-time traffic is a free 5 year service . I thought it was part of SXM maybe not ? You could try to go to channel 1 on SXM , call them and have them disconnect the service .

I get these all the time for places 100 miles away. I figure they’ll finally be killed by getting an aftermarket head unit.

Why not just hit okay? It wont' come back for a while, and it goes away when the warning is gone. Being in texas, you should see these quite often. FLood warning, winter storm warnings, ozone warnings, BURN ban warnings, etc.

They’re mostly useless and I don’t need to see a heat warning when it’s 100 degrees. I’m driving outside, I know it’s hot.

I would walk out to the truck, and hit the little assist button and tell them you want the travel link disabled, see what they say? I'm a bit curious myself

Called the "XM-Guardian" hotline, no help there. Then called the Sirius "General Questions" line (1-877-855-8400) and the guy said to make sure I have the latest update (I do), do a soft reset on the system and if that doesn't work, have the dealer do a hard reset. The latest version is supposed to cut back on the number of alerts, and he couldn't tell me if a future release would allow us to turn it off completely. Maybe if they (and the gov) get enough complaints, there'll eventually be an off button update!

I'll inquire further at the dealer when I go pick up my plates...
