I like mine clean as possible... but I have to park mine on the street where I live, and the spring time melt really makes it impossible to keep clean for more than five minutes lol.

This is my 15 and a half year old truck... It's for sale if you know anyone! ;)

I think it proves that it's worth taking care of your vehicles...

Holy hell that is clean! Do you actually have a life, or just sit at home detailing after work? Must make some pretty major commitment to keep a truck looking brand new like that

Hahaha... I once hand cleaned it when it was 38 degrees outside. I'm asking 6250 but there's room to move.

I was a single guy for much of its life, plus it's white. I've not corrected the paint on it, but it's not bad.

Yeah and may be sold! Had a guy come by yesterday and his jaw hit the ground. He couldn't believe it had 94,000 on it. He literally said "it looks like it has 20,000 miles on it".

SCORE! We shook on 5700 bucks so fingers crossed it works out!

Blue book in good to great condition is 5000-5500 so I feel OK about it. I need it GONE before the RAM comes, because I'll have 4 vehicles and room for 3...

Fords have crappy resale due to the shear amount of them produced. The rental companies bought them up like nobodies business... :nono:

Mine lives in the garage and only gets out for big road trips. Gets a bath before I park it for the next adventure!

I'm on my third Ram and have my second black vehicle. I try to keep my truck as nice as possible, but the weather and roads really work against me! Once I got a couple of scrathes and a ding or two, I stopped sweating the small stuff. I keep the interior nice, but don't go overboard - the leather gets treated, the floors vacuumed and the windows cleaned every week. My wife's 300 gets the same treatment. We love our vehicles and enjoy driving them too much to keep them showroom perfect.

Love to but live in a area that has 4 miles of unpaved roads either way.

I give her a bath when driving in the city every now and then and that is when i take pics lol.

I use Meguiars gold car wash, a Metro Vac to blow dry it off....on polishing days I use this great stuff called Midnight Special....best polish ever IMO for dark vehicles...and on a regular detail, after the wash and dry I use Meguiars synthetic detailer, its much better than their standard detail spray, and smells incredible...cant remember the number though, 125 maybe.....and i keep it in the garage mostly....only drive it to shows, maybe 500 miles a year, maybe....its an 04 5.9 Cummins with 12,700 original miles on her...she certainly gets "pampered" compared to most other 3500 1 Ton duallies.....:)

I've never owned a (real) truck before now; but I have owned several corvettes. I was always jealous of the guys with trucks because I perceived them as never having to wash their truck. Just spray it down once in a while & go.

This was something I was looking forward to with my 2013 ram 2013 laramie. But with a whole section dedicated to detailing, I'm worried I just bought another corvette!

Holy cow! I read you're OP and thought I wrote it as I've been thinking and dealing with the same exact scenario. Too funny. Very **** with my Vette, and - unfortunately to a point - that's carrying over to the truck. And of course, I bought my first black rig in 25 years and am already scratching my head regarding that. Almost thinking I should have bought one a few years old with a couple of dings in it already so I'd be past the **** approach.
