A dealer in Charlotte said he could order me a 2019 EXACTLY the way I wanted it, CHEAPER than the 2018 on his lot.

Now that's funny! I wouldn't have guessed that was possible...doesn't everything go up, year after year (well, except for salaries)?

I just bought an 18 CTD 2500 tradesman for just under 41k OTD. It was the last of the 18's they had and it was late at night, so I haggled until they caved. I could have got a gasser for about 35k OTD...but after driving the CTD, calculating the gas mileage (getting 17 around town, 14 pulling my 7500 lb boat, and 22 hwy at 75 with the CTD), and the re-sale value...I couldn't pass up the CTD. I would be hard pressed to go back to a gasser after 6k miles, plus that engine sound is addictive.

I'm like you...I like the idea of getting a new HD gasser on the cheap, but new CTDs aren't that much more, I'm finding here in Dallas-Fort Worth. I'm still playing dealers off one another as well as doing that ol' waiting game. We'll see soon.

We just bought a 2019, 3500 Laramie 6.7 Cummins... Trim level 2. The dealer was really pushing a 2018, 2500 Laramie... But was only about $4k less. We thought going with the 1 ton and all the new features on the 2019 was worth it.

January, I picked mine up from Dave Smith and drove it back to Alaska. '18 Laramie 3500 with 8' bed Cummins w/Aisin and 2K in upgrades. Just about everything on it. Heated front and back seats, steering, etc... Sticker was $72+ and paid 60K.so I ended up with $14K off MSRP + 2K upgrade= 12K total. They wouldn't come down more than 8K up here and stock was limited.

I have a feeling with the new 8spd HD it's been tougher to sell the 18s

Factory sticker said $42,710 for 2018 RAM 1500 Express Crew Cab with Hemi, 8-speed, 3.92 LSD, tow package, 20"s and bed liner. I paid $31,250 before taxes, trade or fees in May. Got $500 trade in for a 2000 Voyager 4 cylinder with 194,000 miles and only standard equipment. Let the wife do the negotiation. I just sat there and drove it off the lot.

Last checked today - I'm getting 22.2 MPG to boot.

You beat me by $1k. MSRP of 52400, purchased in CA and then went home. Figured I received a fair deal, and beat the closest offer by $3500.

In California. Laramie trim w/ 6.7 Cumins with all the bells and whistles. MSRP of 67k, got it for 52,500. 23 miles on the odometer. Felt like I got a great deal.

Around Pittsburgh they were only willing to drop about $6000-9000 off either a Cummins or 6.4. Me and my son both bought one. He preferred the diesel but best deal he could find was a new 2018 Big Horn with a $63k sticker. The best they would do was $57k. I looked at a new 2018 Laramie 6.4 sticker was $62. Best they would do was $53k. $9k off doesn't sound too bad but it was advertised online saying it was $48k. And they lowballed me on my trade by a couple thousand. I ended up going elsewhere and got $4k more for my trade and got a slightly used 2018 6.4 with 8000 miles for $40k pretty much loaded

Picked up my 2500 limited (if I recall the paperwork correctly it has the tungsten pig but I’m not 100%)ctd 4x4... every bell and whistle I can imagine..sticker 82k, paid 59.... then they discounted the boss dxt v I wanted.... pretty damned happy with the way this all worked out! Traded in a couple of worn out work trucks and my 16 3500 w/6.4 went into our mini fleet as a work truck

Lot of dealer adds? What state you in? Those are going for closer to $40k here in North Texas.

Houston area. Not really many dealer adds, just gap, warranty, stuff like that. Ah well lol She's in my driveway, that's all that matters.

Geeesh. I test drove a 2018 Laramie with a 6.4 and the lowest they would go was $53k. That was back in May
