I wonder why a person can't adjust the temperature settings of when the heated seats can be activated, when I can turn on the heated steering wheel when it's above 40 degrees listed on the outside ambient temp.

Been wondering that too.
I haven't seen anyone try it yet but there are some settings when connected to the Comfort Seat and Wheel module (CSWM) or "Comfort" module directly.

Use at your own risk

I’m in the process of doing a seat/console conversion on my 2016 Ram 2500 tradesman with a Cummins. I got lucky and found a 2016 leramie locally with everything. I think I’ve mostly worked out how I’m going to power them but had a couple questions still.

My thought process is to get a quality pre wired fuse relay box and set it in the engine bay so I can go back to it in the future if I need additional circuits for other devices.
For the seats I would run power through the fire wall and T off under the dash to the passenger seat and supply power to both seats and the putt T taps on the under seat power under wires behind the seat harness’s.

(Now I would like to re pin the connectors to give it an OEM fit and finish but I’m not having a lot of luck finding pins in quantities less than 200 per box. Plus I’ve never re pined these connectors and haven’t yet found a video showing how to properly do so.

I can find ones that have 40-50 amp relays that are 4 or 5 pin(mostly 5 pin)? Not sure yet what to make of that.

Can someone please post all the spots in alfaobd that need enabled for the heated/cooled front seats to work? I just want to be sure that I haven't missed something in alfaobd that didn't get turned on/enabled.

My cooled function works on both seats, but the heat function does not even though the heated seat buttons show the heaters are turned on.

Thanks again Mike!

Does anyone else know if there's any more settings that need to be turned on for the heated seats to actually heat up?

I don't recall anyone ever mentioning they had to set this one, but wouldn't hurt to check.

Programmed ECUs: Cabin Network:
RBSS Right Blind-Spot Sensor: Not set
LBSS Left Blind-Spot Sensor : Not set
BCM Interior Bus: Set

HSM Heated Seat Module: Set

I made some progress since turning this setting on last night

Vehicle Config CSM1: Auto on driver comfort CSM: Feature 2-3 option - This was not set yet, but it is set now

Both of front seat back rests are heating up, but the bottom cushions are not. I need to see which plugins under the seats are for the bottom cushion heater elements so I can ohm check them to see if they have continuity or not.

After driving it to work today, the driver's seat bottom and backrest are both heating up.

The passenger seat backrest is heating up, and I think the bottom is too, albeit the bottom isn't getting as warm as the backrest. Time for new heater elements?

I read that the heated and ventilated seats don't heat up as fast or as well as just the heated seats do.

My wife's 2010 Dodge Charger R/T AWD Hemi has heated seats, and those seats get hot fast and you'll end up turning them down to the low setting.

If we change the seat material type from perf leather to cloth in Alfaobd, will that make the heater pads heat up faster and better? I noticed in Alfaobd, that in the tests area there are 3 levels of heat that can be turned on for testing.

Is there a section in Alfaobd that we can set the heating level up to level 3 vs just the level 2 (low and high)?

I think we need a larger pole to determine if this is the case, not just a few subjective comments. Also, see the AlfaOBD settings below. If this setting is set to 'Ramp up', who knows how fast it will arrive at toasty cheek levels versus the steady setting?

On my '21 Warlock, when it's far below 0°F, even while wearing shorts, I don't last more than a few minutes on the high setting before I need to switch to the low setting.
I may explore this 'Ramp up' to high setting.

I have no idea, but you could experiment and provide your results here.

I'm not so sure there is another level of heat versus an intermediate level setting.
Possibly on a higher trim level, there's a 3-position switch for low, medium, and high.

I find the 2-level pretty marginal in its current state. The High setting gets too hot, too fast, and I can't use it for any more than a few minutes unless it's -40° outside.
And only then, because the Low setting can't keep up, it still feels too hot.

My '07 Tundra Limited had an analogue dial setting. Set it once, and it stays set to that level.

I will experiment with these tweaks sometime in the future.

Function: "Comfort"; Comfort, seat, steering wheel module: MY 2018+ powernet; Steering Wheel Temperature Calibrations Parameters; then select options

As I stated, there is no selection for anything older than '18.

It seems as though the heated ventilation bag elements for both of the front heated seats are not getting very warm at all, so I assume I might need new heated and ventilation bag elements. Both cooling/ventilated function work awesome in both of the front seats though.

Back rest heated and ventilation bag - # 4610124aa - from World Parts Direct - $256.29 each

Seat Cushion heated and ventilation bag - # 4610125ac - from World Parts Direct - $317.47 each

Does anybody here have a less costly option for replacing these elements with the overinflated Covid prices?

I also have all of the schematics if anyone wants them just PM me your email add and I will send them to you.
Hi. I'm interested in the schematics/pinout of the yellow connector under the seats. I just installed seats from a 2022 in my 2016 ram 2500 and the pinout is different. Email is [email protected]
