I just finished installing a "all the bells and whistles" overhead console. Homelink worked plug and play.

I found that the older 4th gens have a different "night light" that goes into the cone-shaped opening. I'm currently toying with the idea of hooking it up as it points more towards the back seat. It will require splicing some wires and has a 3 pin connection unlike the pin-hole light which is 2 pin.

In addition, this overhead has the factory LED map lights. I may or may not swap them for the bulb type map lights from my old overhead console. I'm thinking I'll probably just cover the reflector in red film and call it good (my old bulbs were red LEDs for preserving night sight).

Start by removing the A-piller covers and sun visors. This will allow you to get the headliner down enough to get the retainer in. It is secured with the sun visor clips.
You will have to remove the two small black clip brackets. The retainer bracket replaces them.

Then remove the headlight switch panel and the left side panel. These just pop out. Behind these you will see a green connector. Removing the left side panel of the dash gives you all the access you will need for the next steps.

This plug is where the overhead light wires and constant power you need. The middle bottom three pins. Middle one of the three is where you need to tap.

Black/Tan is ground
Yellow/white is overhead light (allows console to work with doors)
Yellow/Lt Blue is Map constant power (this is what you need to tap.
Just pop off the inner white retainer on the green plug and use one of the connectors with the pin-out kit and push it into the green plug. Then snap the white retainer back in.

This is how you wire the pin-out for the console.
I tapped the stock overhead light wires at the base of the A-piller for ground and door/switch power. When you take it apart you see a good spot. Same Yellow/White and Black/Tan wires.
Can you repost the pictures? They are not showing up.

Sunroof...

Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

Sunroof? Did you add a sunroof to your truck? If not would it not have already had the overhead console with the sunroof switch? Also why the white switch why not just use the OEM ram switch that fits in the console? Where did the white switch come from?
When I bought mine I got the one with the sunroof and rear slider switches neither of which I have. Fortunately I had a blank to take the slider out of the console, the sunroof switch as you likely know does not have a blank, so I had no choice but to leave that one in.

Not trying to offend in any way, but you just got me really curious.

It's aftermarket added when I bought the truck. The overhead console is also upgraded to Homelink, not because I needed it, bit because I didn't like the original location where the sunroof switch was installed.

It's not white but rather the same grey/beige color of the overhead console surround and headliner (camera flash makes it look weird).

I have the factory sunroof switch and toyed with trying to get it to work, but decided I like the aftermarket better. To me the factory switch is too recessed and the buttons too small.

The company that installed does have a black switch, but it only comes as part of an install kit and will cost $75 if I want to replace it (I do, but not that much).

The location of my sunroof switch would actually be a great place to add an auxiliary switch for an accessory if you are wanting to rid yourself of the dead OEM sunroof switch. I used an exacto knife to carve the hole for my sunroof switch.

Professional install Hollandia 700 series. Exact operation of OEM sunroof. This company makes pretty much every OEM sunroof installed by all manufacturers.

The only way to tell the difference between this sunroof and OEM is the trim ring (only visible from the top of the cab ) and aforementioned switch (which is programmable). You can add a rain sensor as an option as well for when you forget to close it.

I think installed when purchased was $1200 but you may be able to find the same for cheaper (not sure if the dealer marked it up). If you do have one put in, make sure to use the shop the dealer uses. An added bonus is the sunroof is warrantied for life, unlike the OEM sunroofs that expire with the truck's warranty.

Anyone got the p/n for the little white connector that comes with the 68064999AA kit? I've got a tone of wire and pins, not really wanting to shell out $25+shipping when all I need is that connector. (The console I got didn't come with)

Sometimes you have to buy those connectors in bulk so $25 may not be bad. If you send me a picture I can see if I have it spare and I'll give it to you if you pay the shipping.

It's the white connector on top of the heat shrink, sorry that's the best picture I can find. I'll try and find a better one. I've got the connector for the Compass Module and the Cupholder LED, just need this one.

Just checked, no extra connection as that is on the vehicle harness side but after looking at the 3 pin connection, you should be able to just put a small female connection on each of the wires and it will work just fine.

No problem, if you still need wire colors, I can pull mine down and show you which color wire goes on each of the 3 pins...

Thanks, I'm good for the wiring. There's a pinout posted early on this thread. I appreciate the offer though.

I don't believe you can buy the blank separately. The Homelink for 13+ models is 68105822AB.
