I have it installed for a while now no change. Even activate services will not work. Also rear view mirror 911 and assist buttons do not work. I just get message connected services not active press button below to continue and that button says activat

Is a radio part # 68331635AD one that is an 8.4” with CarPlay? I’ve tried googling and searching but was hoping I could get someone with more knowledge on it so I know for sure before I commit to buying. Thanks.

Yes. Both of the following verified 2018 Ram radios have CarPlay & Android Auto as listed in the OP. (The last 2 letters don't really matter AD, AE,AK, etc)

Yes this is it. I finished my install last night, it would only see the 1 USB port. I made the switch with Alpha, called it a night. Got out this AM going to gym, switched my usb from slot 1 to slot 2 and it read both ports just fine...

I had doubts yesterday during the install. There is actually 2 connections on the back of the 2018 USB hub vs my 2015 stock hub. Grey and Black. We only have a grey connector. I didn't know if it would work. but after watching MPGrimms vid, i had faith. Sure enough after Alpha settings, works just fine.

Whats the 2nd connection for??

I think it's for AUX. I was actually wondering if I should plug the gray connector into the back of the black AUX connection to see if it works. If so, you could have all of the inputs working and just lose the ability to read a USB from a second port (the phone would still work through that port though)...

Any thoughts anyone?

It's actually for a 2nd row (back seat) USB port on the Jeep compass. (My wife had an 18).

There's a post somewhere in this thread by me (first 100-200 posts?) where I ordered the compass console harness, stripped out the USB 2nd row cable and plugged in the 2nd row active compass port into the 18 compass hub connector on the back ... Main 18 compass hub lit up/worked as before, but the 2nd row port lit up only and wouldn't pass data. Same thing with the xxxx704AC ram hub.

There's a post somewhere in this thread by me (first 100-200 posts?) where I ordered the compass console harness, stripped out the USB 2nd row cable and plugged in the 2nd row active compass port into the 18 compass hub connector on the back ... Main 18 compass hub lit up/worked as before, but the 2nd row port lit up only and wouldn't pass data. Same thing with the xxxx704AC ram hub.

Update.

The Carbridge developer has a new companion tweak called Canvas. It allows you to make any image the background for Carbridge. Also, there is a new jailbreak tool out called checkra1n. It runs off a Mac desktop to jailbreak iPhone 5s thru iPhone X, iOS 12.3 and up. https://checkra.in/ Make sure to only use this URL. There are a bunch of fakes popping up. I would love to see how the new version of carplay looks on iOS 13 on the larger screen. Are you considering updating soon?

Carbridge does not support iOS 13. Apple completely changed the Carplay framework in iOS 13. The Carbridge developer does not have an ETA for iOS 13 yet due it being basically a complete rewrite.

If / when it is updated I will move to iOS 13, upgrade Carbridge and post back here.

I swapped out my RA4 radio from a 2017 to a UAQ from a 2018 following the instructions from this forum and everything is working great. Thank you DeereGuy and Mpgrimm2!

Only thing I have an issue with so far is that when I open the driver or passenger door, the horn does a quick 2-beep. It was not like this prior to the install. I cannot find a setting on the radio that may be causing this. Does anyone have suggestions where I should look?

If I were able to buy the lid off of a 2018 Ram would I be able to put it on my 2014 Ram and have it fit? As long as it has the correct media hub also I would be able to use that and have a prefect fit correct?

Yes, perfect fit....
... but you have to remove/cut the 12v constant battery feed from the truck side console connector (Pin 7) that is now the the illumination signal to the hub to prevent draining the battery. You can run splice the pin 7 over to the trailer brake switch connector to get the illumination signal.

I was able to find a radio with nav from car-parts.com for 450 with I thought was a decent price. But when the radio came the screen is messed up with scratches and small chips on the screen and the screen has this weird worn out area right in the middle. Does anyone know how much a replacement screen would cost and where to find one? Or should I just send the radio back and get my money back and look for a different one?
