Do you just pry the factory bump stops out and then work the timbren on and let the truck down onto a 2x4 to seat it? Is it really that simple with nothing to screw?

How is the ride I tried those and was not happy with the ride. I ended up removing and returning to get airlift.

^ Likewise.
Before I dropped the back end (so I had full, stock ride height and suspension geometry) the Timbrens were engaged the full time we towed, and it was like riding on frame with NO suspension. Great for watching the twins bounce in the pass seat :naughty: but AWFUL and unacceptable for ride comfort. Yanked'em after 1 pull, installed Airlift 1000 and haven't looked back.

yeah I put the timbrens on first and had a crappy ride. I still use them AND the airlifts now. Much better

Just did a 100 mile tow today. I think the airlifts were a bit better. I don't think the timbrens are worth the $. If u don't mind the hassle (to me, and potential leaking) I think the airs are way better as far as price. But I'm trying to decide which one to go with now. I still don't want to deal with the air. The timbrens were compressed when I looked under the truck .I think it sat a couple inches less with the trailer on it (7000) pounds. I'm going to be towing again this weekend. I'll try to be more observant. That's hard for me. I did notice some dolphin action but I noticed that with the air lifts too.

Airlifts might lose a pound of air a month if that. I would return those timbrens they are garbage. I can't believe such a poor product exists the same goes for the the Firestone ones that ride like a rock.

did a lot of thinking after this thread....I didn't do my research properly. I thought a 10000 tow rating meant I could PULL anything. I've done this a total of 5 times round trip. Never again. The truck is capable power wise just not suspension wise.
So what did you do to rectify it? There was talk of your missus pulling the cart in a second vehicle wasn't there?

Just some quick guess work- correct me:

Roughly 950lbs tongue
Passenger weight 600lbs (I thouht you mentioned that number somewhere?)
Cart- 700lbs?
2250lbs? Sound close?

she will pull the cart from now on. I don't even know the numbers involved. The beers I've consumed tonight have erased those.....

I bet that thing does just fine with bags. I would have no problem doing the same. Golf carts are not that heavy. Illegal load yes. Dangerous with your setup probably not.
