i can’t find a video for how to straighten out a steering wheel on a 5th gen 1500. My alignment is good, the wheel is just a few degrees to the left thanks to a dealer here — long story. I want to fix it myself if possible. Can someone post a vid showing how to do this? Even just a pic pointing to where the dang drag link is. Thanks

The first time I did my own toe adjustment to straighten a steering wheel a few degrees was by trial and error. Trying to figure it out in your head can be perplexing. Loosen the jam nuts and turn one side in a half turn and the other side out a half turn, tighten the jam nuts and test drive. If it's worse, you went the wrong way so do the opposite. If it's better but still not right, add another quarter turn. That small adjustment should not significantly change camber or caster.

My old Mopars and other old cars, you turn the two tie rod sleeves in the same direction to correct steering wheel alignment. On newer cars do you turn in the same direction or in opposite direction?

I do my own alignments on my cars and this is pretty easy but kinda tedious at the same time. Like everyone else said, loosen the jamb nuts on the tie rods and you have to turn the inner tie rod to adjust. The trick is figuring out which way to turn the tie rod to get the wheel to turn the way you need it to. 1/4 or half turns are about all I would do if you are pretty close on the steering wheel. Just make sure you turn both sides the same amount and adjust the wheels in the opposite direction. If you get it backwards you are taking your toe out of alignment.

Assuming the dealer was the one who did an alignment, I'd kindly ask if they could center up your wheel if you dont want to mess with it.

Not possible as it's a clocked spline
Didn't even notice that when I pulled my wheel of a while ago (to install those buttons on the back)

Went through all sorts of trouble making sure it went back on the same way I took it off

Loosen the sleeves on both ends , then rotate the sleeve. Do the same amount of adjustment on each sleeve.
I would try one rotation on each, then go for a spin around the block to confirm you are going in the correct direction.
Do not forget to retighten the sleeve clamps.
