I'm wondering about the HUBB reusable oil filter. Is it for real? Is it compatible with Amsoil?

Never heard of them but briefly looked at their white paper page, didn't see micron ratings and generally they only compare themselves with paper media. Many guys at ram forum already use spun microglass, so I don't see how this could be an upgrade, unless what you value is to be able to re-use it. They need a PR guy that knows what he is doing because their white paper page reads like propaganda, if they want to earn my business they need to sell me on flow and micron rating with long lasting media, PERIOD. I don't care about anything else, when I buy something for my truck, I buy it for my truck, not for PR gone wrong reasoning. I would like to know more about the filters, don't know where to look after the white paper page is this bad.

I have no interest in reusable filters. Imho, you would be better off using a synthetic media filter. Better flow and better efficiency rating.

I have a 2016 2500, my first diesel. It has 35,800 miles currently. I want to take care of it as well as possible.
What oil filter is the one most of you use?

Read my oil filter thread in my sig, Royal Purple filters are as good as it gets. The part number for you is 40-780 *DIESEL. Many guys with diesels go with a amsoil bypass filter. Those are great, the only downside is cost of the system and replacement filter. They do pay for themselves by extending the oil change interval, but there is only one place to get them and they are not synthetic last time we checked. Royal Purple will probably get similar filter over the interval, but bypasses are famous for trapping low micron sizes.

I've heard rumors that the bypass filter setup on the ford diesels is getting some blame for engine issues. I heard this from an Amsoil dealer and he seemed to be ok with it, by ok I mean he wasn't whining or complaining about it he was just saying as a matter of fact. He said somehow it's messing with the oil pressure. Like I said, don't know this is fact, just heard the discussion.

Fleetguard and Baldwin are what we use on all of our plant equipment and if its good enough for stuff that costs 100's of thousands of dollars then it's definitely good enough for a truck following recommended service intervals.

I always used mopar brand filters on my 6.7. I bought them thru Amazon all at the same time oil, and both fuel filters.

I had around 190K on mine and never had major issues that was due because of these filters. These get my vote as well as Baldwin filters if you can find them.
