No lesson learned. This is my offroad rig. My Durango is my DD. Even if it were my daily driver, I'd still go offroad. not everyone likes there trucks to be a pavement princess like yours. More importantly, the only thing wrong with this situation is i made the mistake of being over competent and misjudging the depth of the water. Not the trucks fault i took it beyond what it could handle. So i guess technically, if anything, I learned to be more logical when it comes to standing water![]()
So i assume since you didnt learn any lessons that you will destroy another truck by submerging it deep water. Doesnt seem to fun to me. Yeah ive done the offroad thing. Big tires, lift and winching out. then the next 2 weeks of cleaning all the mud out of it to keep rust at bay. To each their own. If you want to run your truck in mud and water go for it. im not banging you for it. just dont be surprised when you have to make a payment (ruining engine, truck, etc) Or make it the ultimate offroad truck with a snorkel and rip out the carpet so it wont smell like a rotten foot after baking in the sun all day.
My truck is a pavement princess, never thought or wanting to sink it in the mud. But thats my thing. I want mine to look sinister, low, fast sitting still, yours is to pile mud and dirt all over it with nose bleeding height and tires that will chew up the asphalt. It all take different people.
Ok stepping off my soap box. Flame away.
