Delivered a load of steel today for work. A good 130 mile trip. 1100 pounds I think it was. Like it wasnt even there. Well, except for the fact that my headlights were aiming at the sun. Maybe Ill convince myself to get them sooner. Beats the hell out of driving the one truck I usually drive at work.

Manually controlled kit from Hellwig is only $400 and completely replaces the factory springs with airbags for total height control, or just get an in-spring Air Lift 1000 for $100.

I had manual airbags on my last truck and loved them. They were manual in that I had to fill them from two air spigots mounted on the back fender. I suppose the onboard compressor would be pretty slick but for how often I used them I couldn't justify the extra $$.

Im considering the compressor just because Im lazy. But like you say the money. It would go against me saving up for a new four wheeler. Not much, but it would be just that much less Id have. I guess I can just not be lazy for once and manually air them up.

The Airlift 1000 bags are surprisingly easy to install, and reliable for under $100.
Though, if I were going to haul loads THAT heavy with reasonable frequency, I may lean towards some TTC spings with 50% increased capacity instead. 3x the $$, but no messing around with little drawback in the way of ride I'm told.

I won't haul much with this truck, at least not this heavy. This was just a one time thing. Though I will still get them eventually.

Sent from the past five days in the future just now.

I installed the TLC system a couple of years ago and they work great. Make sure you install the on board compressor so you can make adjustments as you drive, if needed. My only complaint is I have a small leak that I have done everything to find and cant seem to pinpoint it. Spent three days searching. Even checked for bypass at the compressor. Checked both bags and all connections with no luck.
