I never said anybody picked up hp. I don't know what you're talking about. I was referring to the I hate fm. I said you proved my point because you don't have one that's all. I don't have anything against the other mufflers. And have had plenty of other mufflers over the years. Allot people compare **** to older and cheaper products. I wasn't being a smart ass **** to you. Like you were being. Signed flowmaster fan. Because that's what you told me I am. WTF!

Like I said originally " the flowmaster performed worse than STRAIGHT pipe" . I'm not saying magnaflow is the best and flowmaster is the worst. Just giving my 2 cents from all my muffler swaps I've done. The flowmaster sounds awesome, but don't perform worth a damn on my truck.

Well that escalated quickly....haha. I didn't intend to be a "smart ass ****". Believe me, if I did, you woulda really known it, and that wasn't it I assure you. Guess without inflection of voice things can be construed differently. And please point out in my post where I said I hated fm's. I know I didn't, because I don't. Also you said you really liked your FM, so wouldn't that make you a fan? Heck, im a fan cause i like the way they sound. I'm so confused....

Anyway, chillax man, no hard feelings. I know exhaust opinions are about as varied as they come, but no need to start slinging " smart ass *****" everywhere. That's unnecessary.

Let's move on.

If you don't like the maggy try MBRP. I much prefer the sound of my MBRP.

Strange, My 10 series has no drone, also has no power loss as proven by some decent track times on 100% stock set up as a base line.

Its all about muffler placement, change the location and you change the tone, and low end loss..... I was taught by some old time hot rodders that closer to the long tube header the better, and the longer the tube the different the sound. obviously. and the sound you like is purely up to you.

I am in the midst of redoing my exhaust and will be running super 10s again but fixing the errors from the previous exhaust fabrication.

Did you just replace the muffler or did you get the whole catback?
I did the whole catback. The mbrp pipes are the same as stock though. If you just remove the resonators and do a muffler swap it's basically the same thing.

I might give it a go then in just swapping the muffler. I do like the way the mbrp sounds...

The 3in-2.5in dual 50HD flowmaster system on my 2014 ram 2500 sounds good but boy oh boy is there drone. Between 1700-2100 rpm is is painful and anything over 2100 she just barks. Definately flows better but if i knew it would be this loud I woulda just said to hell with it. Thumbs down for flow master.

22" Maggy w/ ARH long tubes - catless - would wake up the neighborhood. But it sounded so ******* good.

^catless must really make a big difference, because I find my 14" Magnaflow to be somewhat tame. But I guess it would be compared to the cutout, lol.

I have the 50 HD Flowmaster and the drone is not loud at all. You can't even hear it when cruising but as soon as you mas the pedal it wakes up. Didn't lose any down low torque either.

I still don't understand why guys are like. Louder is better. Gets old after awhile. It's all about that tone and growl. If I want snap crackle and pop ide buy rice crispys

I'm pleased with my flowmaster 40 series, no complaints, not too loud, not too much drone.

I have ARH LT headers w cats and a 22" Magnaflow. Even with the cats it's pretty agressive. Can't imagine running it without cats.

Quick question off the tone and power subject anyone notice any mpg difference and are you guys taking the resonator off I have a outdoorsman so only one exhaust pipe does that make a big difference in the sound I just put a piece of pipe where the muffler was a left the resonator on it sounds ok for now just needed some sound

I just installed a 14 magnaflow over the weekend. I love the sound but I'm not 100% happy with it. It makes some weird sounds at slow speeds, and ever since I swapped it now I get some squeaking sounds when I run over bumps. I'm thinking about getting it welded to see if that helps but I'm also scared to do that.
