Hey everyone I have a 2001 Dodge 1500 and found a used 6" Skyjacker Lift off a 2500 that is being parted out. I am just seeing if you guys can identify what model the lift is or approximately how old it is from the following picture I have. I understand it doesn't show much but I am hoping for a guru to help me out!
Any help is appreciated.

I could be wrong but I don't think a lift of a 3/4 ton will work on a 1/2 ton. Or if it does fit I would imagine the ride would be rough

According to Skyjackers site, they dont offer a 6" kit anymore. They offer 4", 5" and 7"...the part numbers for the 1500 long arm kit and the 2500 long arm kits are different.

I Have never lifted a truck before so I am very new to it but from the research I did I gathered that I could use a 2500 lift on my 1500 just that the springs would be stiffer. And I read that some people actually rathered the stiffer springs over stock.
So you do not think this kit would work?

I would just compare the brackets, and components to wat yours already has. Measurements will help with this process.

I finally found some good information. Well as far as I can tell the leaf spring on some of the 3/4 tons are 3" wide while 1/2 tons are only 2" wide and the mounts are different I believe. But this kit I want to buy just has blocks for the rear so I am sure I could make them work. Other then that I think everything else should work just fine.

The kit'll probably work...areas to watch would be the control arm bolts (looks to be an earlier club cab which will have smaller diamneter bolts.) and the useless skyjunker track bar bracket. You should be able to buy the correct bushings for your 2001 bolts.
Buy a 3" BDS add a leaf for your stock rears with a 2 inch block and you should be pretty close...although I am not a fan of rear blocks. I'd buy a set of 5 inch rear springs instead.

I noticed the truck has a monster aftermarket tranny cooler. I would snag that if it isn't damaged!

Yeah I think it will work as well. The guy is firm on 400 for everything included in the lift. Do you think that is a fair price? Im just hoping the shocks are in good shape. They look pretty old.

I actually have a fairly new aftermarket tranny cooler on my truck already as I put a rebult tranny in it not too long ago but if that ones quite a bit bigger then mine I might have to grab it your right!
