If it's a recall, can it still be replaced?

I notice that there are a few recalls on my truck that are to be replaced by a dealer under the recall, but I am wondering if you can still pull up an old recall and go claim it on your truck now? The main one I am concerned about is the factory trailer hitch that I use a lot wasn't built with satisfactory toughness and tends to crack and break, and a dealer is to replace it.

Can these still be done?

Most recalls do not have a expiration date because they involve safety so even though your truck may be out of warranty they still have to do it.

Looks like the local dodge dealer may be getting a call to fix some stuff

I think there may be a stipulation about being the original owner, but I think that can vary too.

Its weird, I tried to find out if there was any recalls on my truck, but the dodge website, said that my "durango" didnt have any... which is very weird, i even looked at the VIN number on the truck and its the same on my registration.
