I wouldn't go AWD,but a lowered 4X4 sure, that way you still have the option of rear wheel drive burn-outs,lol
I was thinking more control like the Hellcat Jeep rather than the Hellcat Challenger. As matter of fact I was even thinking independant rear suspension as well. They could offer 2 wd and Awd options perhaps.

Isn't that essentially the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk formula? Or were any of those selectable 4WD?
Yes kind of my idea....think Jeep Hellcat but in the 1500 Truck form the OP posted.
Not sure if the Hellcat Jeep has the selectable drive options. My neighbour has one but everything up here is away for the winter.

The Durango is selectable 4X4 and that's the set-up i'd rather have, kind of on the fence about making it independent rear though.Keep the solid rear axle and it can still be used as a truck, with an independent rear suspension,it loses alot of it's truck capabilities

Gas Monkey Garage built a Ford Falcon with a Hellcat engine.

There was a Hellcat that was put in a Dart, also built by Gas Monkey Garage

the new owner modified the heck out of the suspension , etc.

There's quite a few old muscle cars and older trucks with Hellcat swaps these days.
The Hellcat swap is becoming very popular these days

There's a few FB pages on Hellcat swaps, there's a few more if you go digging.
If you google Hellcat swapped 300's,you'll find several for sale
John/Boosted Motorsports has done a few

Maverick Lobo. Pretty reasonable price point starting at $35k, AWD, lowered with differently tuned shocks, rear axle torque vectoring and brakes from ST Focus, 7 speed paddle shifter. 2.0 is readily tunable, a 93 only tune nets about 50hp at the wheel.

Still about 60/40 weight distribution unless there's some radical difference between the Lobo and the regular non-hybrid Maverick in weight. However torque vectoring in their track mode can overcome some of that by shifting power to the outside rear wheel in cornering.

It's the build/price for the US site. Doesn't ask for an address for me, maybe because your IP is pinging outside the US?

I'm not a huge TFL fan, they make a lot of non-content these days, but I skimmed through this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u91i41LrA18

Funny, the Durango we test drove before buying our Wrangler was strictly AWD with no selectable option.
Liked the car, but not that feature.
It was just a GT Plus though, so maybe the higher trims give you better options...

Reminds me of the old Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin.

That's hideous and a ford. Hard pass.

Easy to do when they're competing with themselves. :Big Laugh:

If there's one thing a successful and profitable company hates, it's dominating a market space that competitors can't or won't enter.

I hope Ford sends Tavares thank you cards for failing so hard at investing in Ram and Jeep lineups. Like losing Lutz to GM, a great move that pays long term dividends...for your competitors.

Each to their own. Ford is killing it in a market segment Ram doesn't even compete in.
Yes and it blows my mind. Stellantis literally already has the vehicle in its lineup and has tested it in North America. All they've got to do is start selling them, but they won't.

Ford raised MSRP on the Maverick and still saw a 40% year over year increase in sales. Sure, 120k-ish units isn't touching F-150 numbers but that's a lot of small trucks for CAFE purposes to support Raptor sales and make money while you do it instead of buying credits from Tesla.

I wonder what Ram or Jeep has seen a 40% increase...

Ok, now I'm rabbit holing on the tuning for these little guys. 300hp wheel on E50 with just tuning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik66n1ciO6o

Sub 13 second 1/4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEj5HXJgxHs
That is an impressive horsepower and torque gain on a stock vehicle.
To bad the dragstrip pass didn't also show the timeslip along with the Draggy numbers,i'm curious to see how close they were.
With-out the timeslip number it makes me wonder if it actually ran in the 12's,or was it a very low 13,as i'd think they'd also show the timeslip if both were showing a 12 sec pass.
Also curious on what the DA was
This video shows a mid to low 14 with a tune and at an outstanding -943 ft DA,i'd like to see a pass that isn't Texas's basement DA numbers.
