Don't know what a good stock time is for a 2nd Gen. Eight would be allot better, seven real good, 6 and a half gettin up there and in the fives would be smokin, but I'm talkin 3rd Gen QuadCab times IMO.
11 i would be saving your money for a hemi dont waste on cams or heads or anything
enjoy the truck for what it is A TRUCK billy bob that thing up and get some TNA in there and have some fun
put a nice set of heating blankets in the bed throw a tarp over the top fill with water take a shop vac switch it to blow and you have a homemade hot tub
all the guys i know in reg cab hemis running 11s and 12s are selling there trucks
Not too shabby! Time for a 390 stroker kit, but not shabby at all.
I would tend to agree though, I wouldn't dump a lot into that truck unless you plan on going to a different motor... Only motor swapped 2nd gens can be called fast in my book.
This is one of my time slips from my 1997 5.2L
I was truck 4090 and the other truck was 4089 which was a 2004 1500 5.7L
