Actually this may wind up being part of his budget series of strokers? No 100% sure yet where this one will fall.

I tried 15" and they cleared, 16" folded up on the driver side and close on the pass side. I think the supports are gonna be the issue if your needed more then 15"

Well actually the way the TB sticks so far in front of the actual intake I need that clearance on the front side of the ALT/AC....

The front of the TB basically sits directly over the belt. I have no doubt the TB will clear the hood it's just the added 6" I'll need for the CAI elbow. I just kind of eyeballed it from where the head meets the block and it needs 14" of height from that point. I have an extra front cover that will need to to be modified and I'll probably mock this up when I do the swap....hell man I may just finish it off and use it with all the work it takes mocking it up even though it will have a pretty substantial port mismatch.

These pics are off my front cover, its prob gonna be the best to show you the distance due to it sits right at the lowest part of the hood.

14" sitting right ontop of 5.7 front cover
th_IMG_1439.jpg

Hood closed with 14" and small amount of clearance, poss another half inch
th_IMG_1438.jpg

Thats dead center of the motor im sure you have a semi normal 5.7 truck motor sitting around to where you can tell how much diff the front cover is gonna go up then subtract my 14" cardboard from it.

Well I finally got my slacker ass in gear and am in the process of 5.7 removal, should have the stroker fired up tomorrow afternoon!! I took a good look at my stroker shortblock buried underneath my winter coats and decided to get my *** in gear. Also a pic of a column dual gauge pod, I'll have the trans temp on the right, wideband on the left, and the oil pressure in the SRT-10 pillar pod.

Yep that's whats in it now. Didn't get it done today, got a later start then what I wanted and just ran out of energy. Need to give it a bath when this is all done, pretty grungy under the hood. Running the stock heads for now until I can afford the 09' heads, but I'll be installing a ported 6.1 intake in the next couple months.
